After resting for 10 years in PX and Oloroso Sherry Casks, this treat was then moved into Port Pipes from Portugal's Duoro Region. Deep cherry wood in colour, the Port Wood finish imparts excellent aromas of plum, bramble and sandalwood. Once this expression reaches your palate, you'll savour flavours of rich fruit, roasted apple, gingerbread, baked orange and black cherry.
The GlenDronach 10 Year Portwood is bottled at 46% abv, which is both non-chill filtered and non-coloured. Expected retail price is is $109.95. Look for it on LCBO shelves in May. This release from "The Valley of the Brambles" will surely please fans of The GlenDronach.
